The wind was blowing a steady 25mph and gusting to 40.  The swells were really behaving to let me tag along.

I love that video of you and Oscar in the double.  That run in to the beach...  Oscar is such a beast.  You guys were just flying across that monster wave.

Here is an excellent graphic video of how to sneak on to  those big runners in a ski.  I think this link will work, I'm not on Facebook.  I have a tough time convincing people to slow down so they can go faster, but that's how boats work.  Too many people try to muscle into downwind swells.  I prefer the easy route.  Let the ocean do the work.  When the time is right, it will let you on.  I think it may be Boyan in a V-6.  Whomever it is, they are flying.  Same wave selection as in my video.  Big swells running from my right to left, I chase the small ones going from my left to right.  When they merge, I sneak left.  Small bumps get bigger, Big bumps get smaller...

Good stuff LPB. I was grinning ear to ear when I saw my first flying fish in M2M. Midwesterners are easy to impress. 

Pretty lame compared to amazing SA downwind content - ok totally lame but here is my first time in a k1 over the weekend (it was a stable one 46cm wide) - it felt so good I wanted to buy it (sadly didn’t lol)

Well that was just lovely.  I’ve been out of paddling for a while from illness, shoulder surgery and caregiving obligations.  Than was a needed Meditative moment in my life.  I will watch as needed over the next months.
