Richard, I had not had opportunity to demo an Elite S yet but I emailed Oskar at Fenn New Zealand and he said all the Elite S they had currently or in the past 2 years from the factory had the leash attachments. I'm going to arrange for a demo with the local dealer at some point, but in any case I'm glad you're sorted out; people have been leashing off to the footboard on Fenns and in general for forever so I imagine you will be fine. While I've read account of footboards breaking off from the rails, given the amount of stress the footboards are designed to handle I suppose the same could happen with a dedicated attachment point.
