Duisberg World Cup

Oscar Chalupsky was in Germany to attend the Duisberg World Cup as the Sales VP of Epic Kayaks.  While showing and demonstrating Epic's range of K1s, he took the opportunity to evangalise the sport of surf ski.  "The Europeans were fascinated," he said, "and Birgit Fisher leapt into the ski in jeans & T shirt, no less, to give it a try."

Oscar being Oscar of course, he persuaded Birgit that the Dubai Shamaal race would be an ideal part of her training for the 2008 Olympics.

From the rapidly increasing numbers of European readers (in the last month there have been more European visitors to the site than South Africans) we know that there is huge interest in surfski paddling in Europe - and Oscar confirmed that the Epic skis drew crowds of interested observers at the Epic booth.
