Plettenberg Bay paddling was created by Alain Jaques
I'm heading to Plettenberg Bay for some rest and relaxation next week (6-13 Oct). Being the safety conscious person that I am I'm not too keen to paddle far out on my own. Is there anyone on this site who hails from Plett and who can show me the local paddles.

Its a great retreat with some great guys to paddle with - head down to the lifesaving club next to the NSRI station on Central Beach just before 5pm on most days and the boys will be gearing up. They also have a weekly time trial, either on Tuesdays or Thursdays, one of the two, at the same time. Iv found most days that if you have no one to paddle with the dolphins aren't adverse to keeping you company along Robberg all the way down to Keurbooms. And you can always paddle withing 100m of the beach - pretty safe in anyone's books. Just keep an eye open for the Robberg Express - apparently its just a myth. hopefully
