Is it time to have regulated ski classes?

I could be wrong but I suspect Ranga is referring to the previous ICF ocean ski specs that required perimeter deck lines like you find on sea kayaks, bow and stern toggles/loops, plus other stuff. Sounds like the old guard was subdued if the above are the new restrictions.
