Actually this brings the world!
So I contacted surf ski info, but nobody takes the time to answer me, yes I am on a small island in the pacific, and that my request to place a banner ad on the site weighs surf ski info not heavy!
Having no response, I posted new posts and hope that the directors of surf ski info, contact me to find another solution!

Isn't this what the advertising banners on the webpage are for?

I suggested this on another forum and it worked a treat.

A commercial forum was created where sellers were allowed to post up bargains, new products or generally just let themselves be known.

There is no spamming allowed and none ever seems to appear.
Allows a manufacturer to communicate without annoying normal board users.
Those that aren't interested just never read the commercial thread.
Those that are do, sometimes pick up a bargain or useful information.

It also allows manufacturers to post up in conditions that are not hostile to them.

A really good entity with a good online presence can generate a lot of respect.
A really poor one can also make complete idiots of themselves.

Either way, it seems to work far better than even I imagined when I first suggested the idea.

It also allows manufacturers somewhere to place recalls or warnings about incorrect product usage.

Yep, Amen to that, a motorcycle forum I am on has over 5000 members and does that exact thing.

We like to hear about products, development, etc but when it's just a one sentence post to put the brand name on the forum board
