Has anyone actually paddled a Fennix Bluefin S?

Finally got down to Airlie Beach on the weekend to look at the Bluefin. The guy had two of them on his huge yacht that he'd sailed from South Africa. In great condition so I bought one for AUD $1100. Here's a picture when I was taking a break on the drive back.

Should have time to get it in the water soon. Thanks all who've posted here and helped me get what looks like a lovely ski.

Great price for a Fennix in great condition! Is it the fibreglass or hybrid version?
Enjoy your new surfski!

Maybe I exaggerated a little with "great". The grab handles are a bit perished from the sun but still seem strong, and the sticker on the other side of the boat is faded and brown from being that side up on the yacht in the sun (how do you remove old faded decals?). But it is structurally perfect. A sticker on the side says "Carbon Hybrid". So looking forward to getting it on the water. I think I'll start in the river just to practice balance at first.

At oceanpaddler.com/online-store/fenn-f-sticker/ you can get the stickers in Australia.
Carbon hybrid is a good compromise.
Maybe some warm water to remove the old stickers?

Just did a Google search on removing decals from fibreglass - Hair dryer, acetone, alcohol, vinegar all recommended. So often Googling can leave you even more confused! I suspect at least one of those might not be good for the boat, or perhaps fibreglass is tough stuff. I'll see if I can find the actual expert opinions, and warm water certainly couldn't hurt, so I might indeed start with that.

As far as I know Fenn are still made with an epoxy composite that is covered in white gel coat. None of the things you mentioned will hurt your ski, except the hair drier if you hold it too close for too long. If the old adhesive that holds the decals on is pretty stubborn, I would try heat (hair drier or hot water) and if that doesn't work then try acetone, mineral spirits, or gasoline. Advantage of acetone over the other two solvents is that it evaporates fully without leaving a greasy residue.
