Thanks for the link. Love that flat bottom.
" The reverse bow and hard chines are straight out of the cutting edge America's Cup Cat designs." as if that line was written for spacehopper B) (see reverse bow thread), reminds me of www.catsailingnews.com/2013/03/design-surfski-mv605wp.html

NIce to see it in motion in the vid ... nosediving?

Heheh...

Ideed - well if it's based on the AC cats then I presume it been designed to fly on hydrofoils almost all the time at around 40kts...?!? Even a cursory google image search shows that there ain't any chines on them - a hard turn of the bilge yes, but chines no. ;)

I sort of like the idea of chines on the midsection, think maybe it was (for a pure downwind boat) an avenue for further development after the Legend. Can't quite see the rationale for taking them all the way to the stern as I would suspect extra dynamic lift there will just want to jam those bows even harder into the bottom of the next wave?

Looks like a fun boat anyway and props to someone for sticking their neck out and trying something different.

Well the Legend goes back even further, but the Uno Max is race proven, and the hull pictured above isn't a million miles away from this "new" ski.

We learned so much from the Legend, which at the time was a massive departure in surfski design, that we couldn't neglect the positives when it came to designing an elite ski. The Uno, and Uno Max both lend a lot of their theory, and ultimately success, to the data gathered from the Legend.

That's so bizarre. In 1990, I was talking to Hunter (an amazing boat builder). I described to him a very extremely similar design.
