Check this baby out. :woohoo:

At the moment it is in testing phase but this new ski has just been released as a plastic ski, remember the post I did asking if this was the fastest plastic ski on the market? Well the developers have gone one better and are trialing it in Carbon?

Putting my hand up to review it when they get settled on the finished design.

Prototype Carbon Innegra Hybrid Fury.
Length: 5.9m
Width: 48cm
Weight: 13.5kg

Nice looking ski Brett, another one to add to the collection. Interested in how stable it is at 48cm wide. B)

I've done about 40km paddling beside training partners who have been given them to paddle in the upcoming Avon Descent Race but I haven't been in one for a paddle yet. I couldn't ask them about stability as they both paddle elite level K1's so they would find most skis stable.

The plastic version is quick though, I did 26km in some bumpy stuff last night (stormy conditions) in an ocean ski at a moderate pace and my buddy in the Fury had no problems staying on my wash even cranking it up to close to 13km/hr for around 600m at one point.

While the bow is fairly sharp the underseat and back end is fairly flat so it appears to have the hallmarks of a stable boat.

I am testing another new ski at the moment that is aiming at the multisport market and has some similarities (low volume, shorter length, trailing rudder option).

I will have a review out on that in the next couple of weeks and if Spirit give me a crack at this one I would love to review them both having an understanding of multisport athletes.

Always looking for the next boat :)

Crikey. If it's 48cm wide, it should be stable.
