I just started using a Garmin 945 watch to record my paddling.

Lots of nice features and I'm enjoying the gadgetry.

But one of the features is an estimation of your VO2 Max.

Anyone have any ideas on the accuracy of this for paddling/kayaking?

I presume it's doing the estimation based on max HR, maintenance of HR and recovery.

No idea about that watch. Maybe try one of the other standard tests, on an exercise bike and compare the calculated values?
