standardised paddle blade comparison charts

Hi,
I`ve noticed when comparing the blades of different manufacturers that the task sometimes becomes difficult when they are described in differing ways. Some makers tell you the width of the paddle and the length to the neck. Some measure the entire length of the blade, including the sleeve on the shaft. Others tell you the surface area of the blade.
Wouldn`t it be useful if surfski.info could produce a comparison chart of all the main manufacturer`s blades. They could find out the width, length to neck and total length of each blade, along with any other important dimensions, like depth of scoop or angle of twist within blade.
What do you reckon guys?

Great idea!

The key is in finding the metrics - length and area should be relatively easy, but width is tricky because it varies along the length of the paddle.

But there must be some common way of measuring the blades. I'll do some research on it.
