Ocean ski VS club spec ski

My first post so dont be to harsh.

Looking at purchasing my first ocean ski - potential is a fenn elite/horison or V10 ultra, not alot else available here.
Ideally for marathon races ocean and some flat water.
I am new to the sport. How do they compare to a club spec ski at 18kg for speed on flat water.
I know they are lighter and longer - approx 6kg lighter.


Has anyone done comparisions from the previous spec ski's ?????

remembering that this was 5 years ago and the elite is faster than the mako 6. This is a rough guide on speed and stability. The horizon is similar to the xt.
