There seems to be a lot more choice ski wise on the 2nd hand market in the East than Western Australia. Has anyone shipped a ski from East to West and if so what were the arrangements, costs etc?

and on something completely different..for any West Aussies on here, a paddler is needed for this weekends Anaconda Adventure Race in Augusta. (please contact this fella direct or through the rapid ascent site. Call Steve on 0402648073 www.rapidascent.com.au/Forum/ForumMessages.aspx?t=1221&e=6

Always looking for the next boat :)

I had a THINK ski air freighted from Sydney a couple of years ago.

It came Australian Air Express. apparently sporting goods over 3.0 mtrs were charged at a flat rate of $198.00

I don't know if the same applies today.

I was one of the lucky ones as the ski arrived in Perth undamaged.

I don't think I would do it again, I had several sleepless nights wondering if my new ski would arrive in two pieces.

oh forgot to mention........ they would not insure it!

Past skis,Spirit Racing ski,Singer SLSA ski, Davenwood Eradicator, Custom Kayaks ICON, Think EVO, Stellar SR excel...current skis Stellar SES advantage, Stellar SEI excel
