Surfski transportation to East Coast, USA

Thinking of getting a new Surfski and was curious if anyone knew what the transportation situation is here on the East Coast, USA.

I know before, we had ABC Transport bringing Ski's over from California, but I seem to have heard that they aren't around anymore....anyone out there that can verify?

Just curious as I would like to know a timeframe to look at if I buy a Ski from the West Coast... how long it would take to get here, and the cost would be good to know as well.

I live in Virginia Beach, VA.

Don't know about specific transports these days, but just wanted to mention, you might check out Venturesport.com in Florida. Bruce has a container getting here in a couple weeks and he might have extra boats.. just a thought. I'm driving there to pick mine up, but I'm sure there will be a transport headed on the east coast from Florida sometime afterward.

I've used boat transfer companies as well as Old Dominion freight lines (drop off/ pick up at terminal) with great success in the past.
