Repairing Carbon Paddle

Does anyone know how to remove the blades from a carbon shaft.

I snapped the shaft at the joiner last week and want to put the blades on a new one? I will attempt to remove the snapped internal section of the joiner first, but I suppose the technique is still the same.

I presume you would have to use heat, if anyone has any first hand knowledge it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

If hot melt adhesive was used you can use hair drier or boiling water to take apart a socketed blade. If glue was epoxy or something else it may be possible to clean mechanically with a die grinder. If paddle blade is not socketed, but slides into shaft, you should use epoxy or even GP polyester resin Plus a reinforcing wraps of one inch fiberglass tape around shaft ends.
