Places to paddle near Urangan QLD

Hi All, I am a relatively inexperienced but keen paddler. I paddle an Epic V9, (& love it). My Dad lives in Salamander Bay NSW but is buying a place in Urangan QLD. It's near Fraser Island. The waterway looks very interesting.

Although it's probably going to be quite a while before I manage to get up that way, anyone with some local knowledge of the area that could suggest the more fun parts to paddle when I get the chance?

A well protected water way inside K,gari ( Fraser Island ) with winds and tides similar to Moreton Bay Qld. Also from Urangan easy to paddle over to Round or Woody Islands in moderate winds.
