Stability vs Rocker

Recently, new Surfski designs consider to add a rocker profile to gain a better surf capability. But is stability a limiting factor?. And..total lenght?

The video depicts some guys catching waves, what has that to do with rocker? These are short ski`s which will always catch waves better than full length racing ski`s. Obviously experienced ski paddlers can catch waves on any ski with or without rocker.

Also more rocker will give better stability as your center of gravity is lower but will generally be much slower.

Maybe recent for the likes of Think, Epic but Fenn skis have always had a lot of rocker...............hence why they are possibly the best handling skis in the ocean.
