The ASKR is the world's most northerly ocean race - and takes place in the Arctic Circle...
The race today was a 15km downwind course - moderate wind and "bumpy" according to defending champion Sean Rice's Facebook post.
Jasper Mocke (SA) won the race, 18s ahead of Rice with Aussie Dane Sloss coming 3rd and Joep van Bakel (Netherlands) in 4th place.
In the women's race, Chipo Tendeland won and Thea van der Westhuizen came second.
Not sure when we'll get photos or results but we'll post them when we can.
The ASKR is part of the Oceanpaddler World Series.
