This one almost got through to the keeper...

They've tried to point us in the right direction but are still pretty vague, given that they have the Evo II (novice-intermediate), Legend (Intermediate) Uno and Uno max (established paddlers) I can only guess that it's a V8 style ski, the think FIT is a hybrid ski/kayak, maybe a pure ski take on that boat.

How about

THINK - "easy"
THINK - "clever"
THINK - "Glide"
THINK - "boutit"

Always looking for the next boat :)

How about we go highbrow with some Latin? `Cogito ergo sum.' Not exactly catchy on the side of the ski, but you can't argue with it!

Sorry, I forgot... cogito ergo sum, means `I think, therefore I am.'

Think Kayak have never copied a design, and we're not about to start now.

Thanks for the post, Brett.

The new ski has been designed as a stable craft with the emphasis on fun, and introducing as many people as possible to our wonderful sport.

The naming competition is a global contest, and the person coming up with the best name which we use, wins one of the skis, no matter where in the world you are. Entries close next Monday, and we will officially release the ski at the Hong Kong Dragon Run. I have posted several photos of the ski on our Facebook page, so you can see our latest creation for yourselves.

For Aussie based paddlers, we will have a demo craft in Australia next week, with full stock in December.

So far there have been some fantastic ideas, with a lot of thought gone into them. It's been a lot of fun reading through them, shame we don't have another craft to release this year, as we could use several of them.

New boat above, the hybrid Think Fit below. Looks ideal for my girls!
I also love the pin striping on the new Think boats.

Always looking for the next boat :)

Stew - no foul intended. Was only climbing in with the banter of the Oscar's Greg's etc.

For my penance I give you the winning name: "FUEL" derived from Fit, Uno, Evo, Legend.

Ummm... was this ski developed in Australia?

If so, and in the spirit of the Evo and Uno, .... how about the THINK Dubbo? :woohoo:

Tres Aussie.

The contest is over, I think, (pun intended), but if they call it "Think Joy", I want a piece of it. Been thinking (arrrgh!) about it the other day, but never got to the computer to email my thinking  ...

Anyways, there were a few other names besides Joy that came to mind such as: Fun, Dart, Deep, Shell, Light, Comfort, ... and now that swordfish is taken, why not Think Tuna? (OK that last one was a joke, and no I would not want to be paddling a Think Joke either )

Anyway, Joy is what a ski of this kind is supposed to invoke in a beginner paddler :woohoo: , is short to spell and easy to read too ;)

That's cool mate. As long as no one thinks we copied a V8.

I have seen pictures of the Oscar, will be interesting to see how the marketing of that ski is managed. Looks rather similar to another entry level ski on the market. ;)
