Mako6 Rudder

I recently busted my rudder on my Fenn Mako6 so will be hiring someone to build me a new one. The standard Fenn rudder seemed to be a bit too small in rough Hawaii conditions, so I am using this as an opportunity to transition to a new, hopefully better, shaped rudder.

Has anyone else experimented with different rudder designs on their ski? Are there any particular designs that seem to work best? There are a lot of oc-1s around here, so I may choose a design based on one of them.
