Fenn millenium double

I have just purchased a second hand Fenn Millenium Double to get the family out on the water with me.

Can anyone tell me if the front double footwell is against the bottom/hull of the ski. Just wondering if it is possible to cut the bottoms out and lower the footwells to get my feet a bit lower.

My 13 y/o daughter and I are finding it quite stable should anyone be wondering what sort of stability they have, in fact she was getting cheeky today and trying to wobble us so we would tip over after our long paddle in hot weather but I had forgotten to put the bung in so wouldn't let it go over.
