Hey team! New to this(and skis)

so thanks for your help in advance.

I just bought myself a ski. And wanted to know what I’m dealing with.

being new to paddling, finding it a bit tough. Mainly remounting as it’s got a really deep seat!

see pics attached

thanks again!

Tricky!

Mako6 or Mako Elite or even Mako Elite LS...

One clue is that it doesn't have the handle at the front of the cockpit.  That might indicate a Mako6.

Mako6 Review - note the lack of a handle
Mako Elite Review - by now a handle had been added to the front of the cockpit

Whichever one it is, it's definitely a fair old vintage - and would be relatively tippy!  There are much easier boats to paddle nowadays - I used to paddle an Elite, but now use a Swordfish S.

Thanks  Rob!

Yeah no handles on this ski, really would like to know.  (I initially thought is was the 6, but want some clrification)

Yeah it is realtively tippy and remounting is hard as its so deep.

Fingers crossed i come accross another owner on here  with a little more info.

THanks for yout help!

Can you remove the rudder, and measure the shaft length?   Measure to the top of the square shape, below the threads:

Mako 6:  about 13.5 cm
Mako Elite:  about 15.0 cm
Mako Elite SL:  about 16.0 cm
