Virus protection

Has anyone else been having trouble with SSI and their anti virus ware. I spoke to a mate yesterday who said he no longer used SSI as it was lighting up his virus ware at work. I have had the same problem for the last 3 months on both my laptop and home computer. Lost a lot of data when a ransomware virus was downloaded. According to my history SSI was the last site I opened prior to the infection. Curious to know if anyone else has had a problem.

My work security policy blocks the site so no opening SSI there! It's an IT company so they are pretty thorough in that respect but what it also tells me is that the site has been flagged as potentially containing malicious content or has weaknesses in that area.
I have not had any other issues with the site opening from elsewhere.

The only problem I have is submitting pics or video.
One guy had a solution which I use:
make your new topic and submit it. Then when its live - edit it and add anything you want.
This works for me.

Had something nasty from the banner ads before - now always use an adblocker on the site.
