Paddle for junior paddler

Hi all
For a school personal development project , my 14 year old has decided he wants to paddle across Lake Taupo here in New Zealand , a distance of approx 44 km. He's v fit ( national level football , regional athletics rep) . He's already about 5 ft 11. He's probably going to use a Think Eze ski so he's sorted there.
For a paddle I was wondering about a Jantex small ( 205-210). Are there any other blades I should consider for him ( e.g.Epic small )?

Lots of kids in your junior program at North Bondi surf club use the Braca Evo paired with softer shafts.

For that sort of distance I would think an Epic Small Mid would be ideal and its what I use for long distance kayaking in hulls that would likely compare to a Think Eze (in fact mine is even trimmed down a bit). 210 would probably be a good length for him I use mine at 209 but I'm a bit shorter than him so shorter arms/less leverage.
The Jantex paddles come into their own with a higher cadence in my opinion, the cadence over 44km would likely not be more than 36dspm.
