Best Way To Transport was created by Bob L.
Kinda of new this sport and trying to learn my way. I have two questions.

1 - What is the best way to transport the ski on the auto, right side up or upside down?
2 - What's the best way to carry the ski from the auto to the water?

I've been putting my ski on my shoulder put have thinking the point loading may eventually cause a problem.

Thanks.

All those questions are related to the strength of the said ski and the spread of your racks on the car.

I fix many skis with cracked rails (not strong enough to tie down), delaminated hulls from shoulders or hips pushing on the hull whilst carrying them. Could name a few and have tried talking to manufactures but no luck on that front, then again should I not complain. $10.00 mod in manufacturing as opposed to a few hundred Dollars afterwards charged by me.

Golden rule is look after ALL skis as if they are very fragile, that will keep me out of business and your pockets full of cash.

Don't know about on the roof but the best way car to water is to get someone else to carry it for you.... :)
