Sean Rice wins US Surfski Champs - again!

The US Surfski Champs was held in San Francisco on Saturday 16 August...

The new course had its start at Muir Beach north of San Francisco Bay. The paddlers headed south before entering the bay at Pt. Bonita. As they headed into the bay they went under the iconic bridge before crossing to the finish at Berkeley.

As usual, they had to contend with currents, ferries and ships.



It was one of the strongest fields ever with defending champion Sean Rice, current World Series leader Jasper Mocke, olympian and multiple Molokai Champ Clint Robinson, multiple previous winner Dawid Mocke, to name but a few.

Rice and Jasper Mocke took very different lines into the bay, yet they finished with 7 seconds of each other...
