Carbonology Zest - noises??

Hi there,
just paddled a Carbonology Zest, green strip (carbon/glass).
It made "rasping/cracking" noises when paddling in chops/runners, less on flat water(I felt like being on the Black Pearl with all the pirates).
I had 8 skies in total (Epics, Thinks, DD3s) but never heard such noises before - is that normal?
Looking forward to hear about your experiences.

I have had this in my Flash, it was explained to me that there is a small stringer under the seat and sometimes it comes unglued, so when it rubs against the hull (more pronounced I guess in choppy water) it makes that noise. Good news is my ski is still going strong a year later, no problems.

Ahh, okay...
I thought I notice a little bit of flexing under the seat - that explains all.
