Those pesky sharks was created by GSPT
Mango Racing's Western Australia paddler Drake Robson, on a Black Knight, was in the Sorrento #surfski race yesterday when shark sighting caused race to be abandoned. According to today's Sunday Times, Perth's northern beaches have more shark sightings than anywhere else in Perth. "The biggest number was recorded at Scarborough and City beaches. The 104 shark sightings (last summer) were recorded by Surf Life Saving WA's metropolitan helicopter patrol at 45 beaches, 29 of them in the northern suburbs."

OMG there was a shark in the ocean? Actually in there swimming and everything?
Shocking! All ocean paddling should be banned until Tony Abbott can gaurantee that he has stopped the sharks and sent them back where they came from.

Yes, I don't think we should have any swimming at all in the ocean anytime until something is done about them, in fact any watercraft is in danger imagine if you were to fall overboard, that would be tickets, literally a feeding frenzy!
But the river is fine, Bull sharks are notoriously docile and of course the water is too dirty to see them so they don't exist!
Just remember if you have not signed a waiver you can sue whoever you want if you get bitten. Tony might be first on the list, you can go down from there.

surly we could move all our paddling to the bathtub or a pool, it seams a bunch of the paddlers around here wont go out if its any rougher than the pool anyway.
we have dolphins down here to look after us, and penguins to act as decoys.

The sharks you see are OK; its the bastards you don't that'll cause you grief.

I don't know about the sharks in perth. but I did my first paddled on the swan yesterday since moving here and some dick heads on jet skis thought it would be funny to try and knock me off. Welcome to perth. They where told to F*ck off by the way. It Will certainly change where I paddle.

Bits of stringy seaweed cause me more grief than sharks seen or unseen.

Here's proof positive the ocean harbours fierce and savage threats to life and limb. This might have been a razor-toothed V-Jaw mini-shark that attacked my leg three hours ago.

Or maybe it was just the bow of my SES in pissy one foot shore break and I didn't even bother to fend the boat off.

Bugger the sharks - take care at water's edge! Two weeks to rue my sloppy boat work.

If you have a Face Book account you can see a video I have just shared on my page that one of my friends took while paddling with Sharks near Mt Maunganui in NZ.

I've allowed public access, sorry I can't see any other way I can post the video on here as its not my video and is only on Face Book.

As well as "Those pesky sharks", our Western Australian friends may have something additional to be concerned about.
This documentary aired in Australia on Sunday evening.
"Search for the Oceans Super Predator"
www.abc.net.au/tv/programs/search-for-th...eans-super-predator/
It's available online and well worth the watch when you have a spare hour:
Here is the link to the online viewing. Be quick as it might not be available for too long: I think about 10 days left
