Pre and/or post session stretching?

How important do you think pre and/or post paddling session stretching is? What stretches do you do and when?

current skis: SES Ultra. sculling boats: Fluidesign Lwt, Wintech, Empacher.

Dynamic stretching before, static stretching afterwards, mainly around the hips, hamstrings and thoracic spine for me. Just to prevent these areas shortening and restricting movement.

I don't think they are important at all,
I believe you should stretch tight joints strengthen weak muscles.
Stretching something that you haven't established is short is just wasting our time.
And current research does not support any pre excersice stretching.
Warm up and cool down I find useful
