Here's to a great weekend of racing put on by the Mandurah Ocean Club. Great format with doubles racing on Saturday and singles on Sunday. For those of us interstate or international competitors, it allows for two races on the first weekend and two races on the second (The Doctor and Coastal Challenge). Great organization, good starts, very nice folks. Would encourage all to put the Mandurah races on the calendar.
Yes, the winds for both days this year were AWFUL, but nothing you can do about that. The Cut Run (which is the Mandurah course) in a southerly blow is awesome, with a protected start and finish. Did it today in 20-25 knots and it was smiles the whole way.
Look forward to coming back in 2014. Let's grow the Saturday doubles race!
