I'm paddling a 2007 Fenn xt and I'm finding there is a bit of give at the base of the foot plate when driving with the heels. Has anyone else come across this and found any solutions or is it a case of live with it!

I have cut strips of 3 mm hard rubber sheet to pack out the gap between the bottom of the foot plates and the foot well. This removes 90% of the flex by transferring the load to the footwell. Has worked well for a year. The other annoying thing I found was the leaking hatch. They are only held in with self tapping screws through the very thin fibre glass. I replaced them with screws and nuts with a good bead of silicon sealant and it now doesn't leak a drop.
