See my Review SurfskiRacing.com on pfd's several months ago. Ninja was a good fit, and I liked it but it needed more pockets.

I have an all black Ninja and a Kokotat SeaO2 and now use the SeaO2 exclusively. I found the Ninja too bulky and restrictive. The SeaO2 has 7 lbs of flotation until you add air through the tube or using a CO2 cylinder up to 22 lbs. I leave mine around 12 lbs or so to get the best combination of flotation/bulk, IMHO.

Fenn Swordfish and Epic Midwing.

Past skis include Stellar SR and SEL, KC Zeplin, Think EVO, and in-between version of Epic V8 Ultra. Jantex Gamma is my sword of pain..though my elbow may force me to a smaller blade now. :-(

To the OP, just a point of interest, The term Life jacket refers to a floatation device that is designed to keep your head out of the water and allow you to breath if you are awake or not, in surfski we mostly use personal floatation devices which just add a little help to keep us afloat in the water. Minor point but interesting nontheless.

Right but if you put on a real life jacket... you can say goodbye to surfski! It's understood that life jacket for kaiaking equal to PFD (This from a practical point of view. For the local laws this can be different).

Moreover I believe that PFD for surfski = very light PFD. This is the philosophy of suggested PFD of Think (by Hiko, the Multisport model(*)) or other PFDs like Yak Kallista, etc.

If your distributor doesn't have the PFD you are looking for, just can order it! Globalization has advantages too. ;)
