Nelo models getting confusing

FYI, Although the old models are removed from the website, they can still be ordered from Nelo dealerships.
I am about the order a Vanquish AIR. In the new lineup all the narrow and fast boats are too long for me unfortunately.

Good to know. I love my Vanquish AIR L and am tempted to see if they could make me one with a gen2 550L bucket. That would be my favorite hull with my favorite bucket.

Or maybe you should make a seat mold from a gen 2 and commission Tim to lay up a bucket and patch it into your Air. Is it just the seat that you like or is it everything from the seat to your foot area that you prefer?

Yes I believe you're correct. I asked my dealer specifically about the Vanquish since it didn't seem to be well replicated in the new lineup and they said it would be kept around because it is such a unique ski

I believe they can. My dealer ordered a Vanquish air XXL with a 550 XXL bucket. To me ( a 550xxl paddler) it didn't seam much different from the standard Vanquish, but they simply be a limit of the boat to fit the XXL bucket. You having L boats may do better. Otherwise some padding on the bottom of the vanquish bucket does help with that tight bottom curvature.

Yes that would be another way to do it. It is really just the seat pan from the 550 that I want. The 550 seat is a good deal wider than the vanquish seat, so it would require excising quite a bit of the 550 cockpit to make it work.

So do you own the vanquish with the 550 bucket? I would love to hear more about it. Why did you want the 550 bucket? Did the replace just the seat or everything down to the footwell. Are you happy with it?
