Millenium footstraps?

Hi all , long time reader first time poster

So 9 months ago I bought a fenn millennium(it's all a poor student could afford) and after many swims I'm getting the hang of it.

My question after reading all the posts on foot straps is. on this specific boat the straps are so far away from my feet they are of no use for pulling rotation ( non-catch side) can I move them so that they are more effective during hip rotation(leg drive)?
