Sea Fever

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,

And all I ask is a surfski and a paddle to steer her by,

And the surf’s roar and the chop’s slap and the thin hull's racing,

And a grey mist on the wave's face, and the grey swells breaking.



I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide

Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;

And all I ask is a fast downwind with the white clouds flying,

And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.



I must go down to the seas again, to the solo surfski life,

To the gull's way and the whale's way, where the wind's like a whetted knife;

And all I ask is a lifting stern, and wild runners with no broach,

And a fast pace on a sunny day, and a long surf to the sandy beach.

Great work! You'll have to do a little more thinking to get broach and beach to rhyme though...
