Transport cradle covers

Off the back of another post I thought I'd share this cheap and simple way to add some transport protection for your ski. I use these floor mop covers to form a sling between the roof rack cradles on my car. The mops covers come with a pocket sewn into each end that fits snugly over the cradle and the thick mop padding stops sand or salt from abrading your hull in transport.

I've also had the experience where the cradles can slide apart in transit, widening the "V" so the ski can start to rub on the roof bar itself or get loose in its straps. These mop covers hold the two halves of the cradle together and form a gentle sling to support your hull.
