I did a search but couldn't find anything specific to buying a ski second hand so thought I'd put the question out there for the more experienced buyers.
I'm looking at buying second hand, something like a v12 Performance or similar. I still have a few more to demo before deciding on exact brand or model.
Should I be taking a set of scales along before buying a ski and if the ski looks good and weighs within, say 5% of the manufactures spec, there shouldn't be a problem? I'm assuming excessive stresses are hidden in most cases? but repairs would be evident with a weight discrepancy?
Is there anything else you should look out for, or be aware of when buying a second hand?
Thanks
Mart
