Paddle Performance gains

Hi, I have been paddling my ski (Tomahawk Warrior) for about 4 months now. When i brought it i got a Canoe Sports (Carlisle) Speed wing S2000 paddle with it.

My question is: What sort of performance gains can i expect if i upgrade to a much stiffer paddle with carbon blades (S2000 has carbon impregnated plastic blades)? Also can anyone recommend a good paddle that will not break the bank?!

Very hard to predict gains in performance with different paddles. Does the paddle you use now flex noticeably? To be honest I think factors like blade size and paddle length can make a difference but don't go buying a similar paddle in carbon and expect a huge performance increase.

Personally I find the Fenn paddles very good value as are the Knysna. Both paddles are very well made and have stood the test of time for me.
