Hi all,

I am looking at a used S18S excel layup to purchase.
I had a look at it tonight and took some pictures of the condition to show you guys and ask for advise from you all.
The pictures are zoomed and the object is actually only half and inch.
Are these considered bad?
Are they expensive to fix?
Do they need to be fixed?
Your advise would be much appreciated.

Regards
Duddy

It all depends on what you think is expensive to repair.
From what I can see I presume it is under the seat. It has not been looked after very well, it has been put down on stones and tied down incorrectly. But from the pics it is not very clear, you need to show more of the ski.
As for fixing and price, that will depend on who can do it. And also how much you are paying for the ski.
It also does not help you if I tell you how much I would charge if you are in another country, Shipping could be the deal breaker!

Thanks for your reply. and advise.
I think I’d look at other skis with no repairs needed.

Just on principle I wouldn't buy a ski with that kind of damage that the seller didn't bother to fix.  You have to be kind of a bonehead to let that kind of stuff happen, and then not bother to repair before you sell the boat.
