Does anyone have any suggestions for adding grip to a Fenn footplate. I have an Elite Spark (great boat) but find my feet slip a bit at times. I was thinking of something like a modified surfboard grip.
Thanks.

In Western Australia you can buy rolls of non-slip grip with adhesive back at Clarkes Rubber, no doubt a boating/yachting shop (Whitworths here) equivalent would carry same if not purchase online at www.whitworths.com.au/.

Hi Dan, I've got a Spark as well and have put Epic 'Traction Pads' on! Work a treat,Epic logo is fairly small but they are a bit pricey.

Whitworths (in Aust) has a really grippy black non-skid tape designed for boat decking/steps/wet areas. It has a texture like sandpaper - 5m roll for $16.

But it might be easier (and cheaper) to try surfboard wax for starters.

A great, easy solution to this is to use deck pad material from SUP's. This is about 4mm thick, self adhesive, and just squishy enough to make it very comfortable. I do this on the pedals and heel plate; and a number of my peers have adopted the same use. Find this at any shop that deals in stand up paddleboards.

I used some offcuts of some whitworths deck grip - works really well.

It's light grey and has got a round pattern to it.

I cut out a surfboard tail pad to fit the footplate. The ones with the wedge at the back also allow you to change the angle of your feet a bit. Many brands but you have to figure out what size of wedge you want they come from about 20mm-35mm.

Ended up going with the tape from Whitworths. Made a real difference to how the boat handles. Feels like I have a much more solid connection to the footplate now.
