Spanish Surfski – Dawid Mocke Clinics
Dawid Mocke is in Spain - sponsored by the "Federacion de Piraguismo de Comunidad de Valencia" - to race and to give surfski paddling clinics.
Sea Kayak Championships
On 4th August, Dawid will line up with 150-180 paddlers in K1, K2 and "traditional" boats to take part in one of five races that make up the Spanish Sea Kayaking Championships.
"Also at the race will be one of Spain's top K1 marathon paddlers," host Jonathan Neill said. "If it's flat, Dawid will have his work cut out!"
The race is to be held in the town of La Vila Joyosa which is 120 km south of Valencia and 30 km north of Alicante (home to the Americas Cup and start of the Volvo Ocean Challenge respectively.)
The club is 3 times sub-champions in the competition.

The race, organized by the Federacion de Piraguismo Espanola, starts at 11am on 3rd August. The course will be a 15km out and back, along the coast.
Paddling Clinics
On 31 July, and on 1 & 2 August, Dawid will be giving training clinics.
"The clinics will give paddlers an insight into how to become a top sea paddler," said Jonathan.
"Friday will be free for paddlers who are federated in the Cumunidad De Valencia," he added.
Spanish World Series Race
Dawid's trip is part of the preparation for a World Series race that will be held in April 2009.
