EuroChallenge 2012 (Spain) - Day 2 ** Full Results **

In another all-out heart-bursting sprint finish, Simon van Gysen managed to boost his ski's nose a few cm past Sean Rice to take the second EuroChallenge race along with the overall title.

While the conditions weren't exactly the all-out downwind that the organisers had prayed for, there was some wind for some of the time along with sufficient bumps to ensure that it wasn't a slip-streaming flat race...

And Simon "Wonderboy" van Gysen played it exactly the same as yesterday - keeping in contact with the leaders for most of the way before making his move a few km from the finish.

Fellow Fish Hoek club member Sean "the Prawn" Rice had his own move to make however, and for a moment it looked as though Rice had enough in the tank to outsprint van Gysen across the line...

"It's Sean just ahead, no it's Simon!  It's Sean!  They're right next to each other!  They're across the line... I can't see.  Who won?!  Who won?!"

Van Gysen had just managed to accelerate the nose of his ski in front... and so takes the EuroChallenge 2012 title.

Sean Rice was second overall - a mere 12 seconds behind on aggregate.

Photos and will be posted when we get them...
